    By supplementing membrane scaffold proteins and phospholipids into the cell-free system, PLD Biotechnology enables the self-assembly of nanodiscs that mimic native cellular membranes. Synthesized membrane proteins directly incorporate into these nanodiscs, with their hydrophobic transmembrane domains stably embedded within the lipid bilayer. This platform yields full-length membrane proteins with enhanced stability, functional activity, and near-native conformations.
